La Junta / Cochamó Valley

Your adventure will start with a 13km walk or horse ride through a pristine forest very thick along the Cochamó river. After aproximately 4 hours you will arrive to the camp sites and/or refugees where you will be able to observe the impressive mountains of granite of La Junta (the small Yosemite of South America).

In fact La Junta is the base for various hikes in the hills around, climbing routes or just the first stop of a long trekking to Paso el León (Argentina).

So, if you are not rushing, we strongly recommend you to spend one night or more on the top in order to be able to enjoy this small paradise.
